Upcycled Treasures Finnish Style

I  got a chance to go junking my first week here in Finland. We are here as senior missionaries for our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, our mission is to take care of housing for the young missionaries.

As part of keeping them in the necessities of life, we get to go to thrift stores for dishes and second-hand furniture and the like.  How cool is that?

The thrift store was great, but how fun it was to see this upcycled area.  Isn't this chair fabulous?

The name of the area and product was Plan B, which I thought was brilliant.

They had several decoupaged tables ...
And trays.

There were so many fun chairs ... these are my favorites .... and the black and white chest of drawers, swoon.

I thought the makeover on this great Danish Cupboard was stunning.

...and this suitcase to table transformation was a knockout.

But my favorite piece of the whole show area was this great black and white treatment on this classic craftsman chair!

What fun to get to do what I love, while serving a mission for the Lord that  I've planned for 40 years.

This store is one of a chain and I've yet to check out the others, but I hope the Plan B area is a staple. Stay tuned, I may have more goodies like these to share.
